Who doesn’t love the combination of peanut butter and chocolate? To me, it’s the perfect sweet-salty dessert mix! Sometimes I even dip dark chocolate in my peanut butter jar as a snack or dessert. Yum!

Here’s my version of Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups. They’re so easy to make, you just let the freezer do its magic. Dark chocolate with a layer of peanut butter in the middle and finish by sprinkling some diced peanuts to add extra crunch. What’s not to love?

Healthy Peanut Butter Cups With Only 6 Ingredients

To prepare this recipe use you need:

  • dark chocolate 50% or 70%;
  • coconut oil to add to the chocolate layer;
  • natural peanut butter (which is made with only 1 ingredient: peanuts); 
  • some honey as a natural sweetener to balance the saltiness of the peanuts;
  • some almond flour or coconut flour to thicken the peanut butter mixture; and
  • extra chopped peanuts to garnish on top.

Theses Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups are so easy to make, you just let the freezer do its magic. Dark chocolate with a layer of peanut butter in the middle and finish by sprinkling some diced peanuts to add extra crunch. What’s not to love?

Ingredients

  • Dark Chocolate chips : 250g

  • Coconut oil : 2 tbsp – can be substitute with vegetal oil or avocado oil

  • Natural Peanut Butter : ½ cup

  • Honey : 2 tbsp

  • Almond Flour : 2 tbsp – can be substitute with coconut flour

  • Chopped Peanuts for topping

Instructions

  • Line 3 x 4 muffin tins with 10 paper patties.
  • In a bowl, add chocolate chips and coconut oil. Microwave for 45sec – 1min30 until melted. Stir well.
  • Add 2 teaspoons of melted chocolate into each cup. Use the back of the spoon to spread the chocolate heavenly.
  • Freeze for 5 minutes.
  • In another bowl, combine the peanut butter, honey and almond flour. Microwave for 30 sec-1min to get a thicker paste.
  • Use a teaspoon of the peanut butter mixture and roll it in a small ball with your hands. Then add it on the chocolate layer. Press well the peanut butter mixture in each cup.
  • Freeze for 5 minutes.
  • Poor the final chocolate layer on each cup (about 2 teaspoons per cup). Spread heavenly with the back of your spoon
  • Sprinkle some chopped peanuts and freeze for 30 minutes.
  • Enjoy and keep refrigerated.
